Those crazy days of Prodigy

I never had Prodigy, but had friends who did, and I remember those days of staring at the computer screen for minutes while some news story or page of baseball statistics loaded up over a 14k or 28k modem. Man, those were the days. I mean, literally. That's what it felt like.
In any case, Deadspin alerts us to this NYT story from 1992 on the early days of computer-assisted fantasy baseball. It reads like it's from 1972. And I never knew that Prodigy was a collaboration between IBM and Sears Roebuck! That makes it sound like 1962!
