Steve Martin describes the trials and tribulations of being a upstart comedian in Smithsonian Magazine. I think I need to read his new autobiography. I'm about the biggest fan of the Jerk in the world. Why they haven't released a director's cut with a commentary track from Martin is beyond me. He has a great sense of what's funny and what works in comedy, described in creative and clear new ways.
