On Saturday, Joey Chestnut broke Kobayashi's hot dog eating world record, as he took down 59 hot dogs in twelve minutes. For his troubles, he gets a year's supply of hot dogs, which is definitely less than 59 for me.
All eyes are now looking to Wednesday, July 4th, as the two titans of the competitive eating world face off at Nathan's on Coney Island. It's going to be like the Rumble in the Jungle, only with rumbling happening elsewhere. Why not celebrate the goofy mid-week holiday by tuning in to ESPN at 12:40 pm to watch the festivities?
