A flight to Rapid City, SD, had a strange ending when the Northwest plane mistakenly landed at nearby Ellsworth AFB instead of at the local airport. Passengers were told to lower their windowshades and weren't given a straight answer for a little while. It took another 3+ hours to get from the AFB to the airport as another pilot crew was called in.

In other airline news, the documentary-style A&E program "Airline," a clever, wonderful show about Southwest Airlines, has spurred a dramatic increase in Southwest job applications. William
