Sad day for Slate:
Rob Walker is stepping down as Ad Report Card columnist. He's written some great stuff on t.v. and print ads, and had one of the best pieces of the year in the NYT magazine on Pabst Blue Ribbon's resurgence. We'll have to wait and see what his new projects are, but let's hope that his replacement, Seth Stevenson, can poke fun at the advertising industry as well as Rob did. ben
